Valentine Talland Art Conservation, LLC. provides fine art preservation services to museums, libraries, art collectors, galleries, and others. Valentine brings over 30 years of professional museum experience in the care and conservation of sculpture, decorative arts, archaeological objects, and rare books and manuscripts.
Valentine provides expertise in the preservation of artifacts of diverse materials including stone, bronze, leather, ceramics, stained glass, and painted illuminations. In addition, she consults on museum environment, advises on exhibition materials and practices, and offers guidance on procedures for art handling and transport. (In 2018, Art Appraisal services will also be available.)
With an eye to the preservation of traditional art materials and techniques, Valentine offers short courses and workshops with diverse concentrations such as fresco painting, panel painting in egg tempera and gold leaf, and painting illuminated miniatures.
Valentine Talland is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC).
